The Hobbit In Four Years?
Do you miss the fantasy and action of the Lord of the Rings? Do you find yourself attracted to "little people" with hairy, ape-like feet? Are you planning a family trip to the Shire? Do you constantly scare off dates by calling them your "precious"? Then you are suffering from a severe case of Lord of the Rings withdrawals.
Fortunately for you, there is some hope for another Lord Of The Rings. Peter Jackson, creator of the highly acclaimed Lord of the Rings films, has finally confirmed this weekend that he is seriously considering a movie based on The Hobbit, which J.R.R. Tolkien wrote as a precursor to his trilogy of fantasy novels. Unfortunately, there's a hold-up. Getting permission to adapt any book-based material for the big screen is difficult these days, and with two major studios laying copyright claims to The Hobbit, this potential project faces hurdles for about 4 years. So Nerd-boys, hold off on camping outside of theatres for at least another year. [IGN]
